While working in British producer Barrie Gledden's studio above his horse stables and 8 cats in Wakefield, UK, I accomplished more than I thought possible in a matter of 2 1/2 days. 4 of these personal tracks were songs with melodies and lyrics I had long since developed and kept incubated, waiting for the right conditions to fully grow and flourish. These were now those conditions.
In March 2014, Barrie and I worked tirelessly all day and into the night crafting the right notes on acoustic guitar before we recorded these final cuts for "I Make The Static". Being good friends beforehand made it so much fun, free and crazier. The Game of Thrones references made it into a serious nerdfest! At the end of our studio sessions, I had decided to do one extra track, unique and organic to our time together. I came into the studio the next morning to discover Barrie had drempt and recorded a demo for me, a whole song! I loved it, rewrote the lyrics, and it became the title track to my rock centered EP, "I Make The Static". Zing! A perfect combo of lust and grinding guitars, all complimented by some seriously sleazy sexy vocals, if I do say so myself. Please enjoy my debut EP project, there are lyrical concepts of sorrow, change, growth, powerlessness, power, sensuality, and my gypsy lifestyle all wrapped into rock and roll guitars, crunchy drumbeats, girl rock vocals and melodic pop elements. May the stories in my songs speak to you as much as they spoke to me when I was blessed enough to create them.
